Happy New Year All!
So far the new year has been good. I rode with my cousin and his girlfriend back to San Diego on New Year’s Eve to bring in the new year with my girlfriend. We were invited last minute to a small house party and we decided to go. It was fun. The drinks were good. I had a glass of red wine and two of the special drinks that were being made. The drink was made with pear vodka, orange-pineapple juice, and cranberry-apple or grape juice. It was so good. My girlfriend had 3. There were only 6 of us for the majority of the night. Right about the time we decided to leave, another two couples arrived. We left a little before 10pm because we needed to catch the bus and we didn’t wanted want to take the last bus just in case something happened. Our drinks weren’t finished, so we walked the 20 minutes to the nearest bus stop with our red cups. Talking, laughing, walking. Good times.
There was another reason to leave early. We had planned to bring in the New Year (our first New Year’s) in bed together and it worked out. I spent the first of the year making love with my girlfriend, hanging out with my cousin and his girlfriend, and taking care of myself. I did self massage and light yoga everyday. I stayed in San Diego for the rest of the week, running errands. Making sure I was up to date with my medical program, doctor’s appointments, financial aid for school, and my Cal Fresh (a food program for low income folk). I got back to my Aunt and Uncle’s Saturday night.
My Aunt is sick from the spores? from the dead tree. Within 15 minutes or so of being here, my eyes got a little puffy and scratchy. I helped take all the ornaments off and wrap them and my cousin and Uncle took the tree out of the house. I swept and someone vacuumed and now I am feeling a bit better. My Aunt is really allergic and so she’s still recovering. We’ve just been hanging out and watching the tv show, 24. We finished S5 on S aturday night and watched an amazing 9 episodes yesterday. My attention span is not that great so I listened mostly. I drew a picture and messed around on the internet the majority of the day. I am happy to be here and have been thinking of my future a lot.
I feel hopeful about the new year. I feel that this year will be a great year.
May the new year bring with it love, always love. May it bring great health, wealth, a more heart centered way of living. May all who desire peace, know peace. May there be light where light is needed.
